The Retention Scholarship is a fund established to help retain EKU students that have completed their freshman year and have committed to returning to EKU in the fall of the next year. National data shows that student who complete their second year of college are more likely to graduate. With this in mind EKU established the Retention Scholarship to recognize student's academic achievement and assist students with significant financial need remain in college.
Recipients: Degree-seeking students that entered EKU in either the summer or fall of the current year as a first-time freshman and are returning the fall of next year who have at least a 2.0 cumulative grade point average with a grade of C or better in all coursework.
