Types of Scholarships
Eastern Kentucky University offers a range of scholarships designed to reward a student's scholastic achievements by providing financial assistance to lower the overall cost of attendance. In addition to our general merit scholarship programs listed below, EKU has other privately funded awards available through the EKU Foundation. Follow the links below to learn more about various opportunities.*
*Note that multiple scholarships may not be awarded to the students who qualify for more than one tuition assistance program, including merit scholarships, state-mandated tuition waivers and EKU staff scholarships. To maximize their financial benefit, students must choose one tuition assistance program with greatest value. In addition, all academic-based scholarships and outside agency scholarships are required to be reported as part of the student's financial aid package. If a student's total financial aid package exceeds the cost of attendance, the University reserves the right to adjust/reduce the amount of the student's aid or scholarship accordingly. If a student decides to leave EKU for any reason, his/her scholarship will be considered declined, and it will be cancelled for the remainder of semesters of eligbility.
